Sweet Paste!

Also known as sugar paste! And its often used for recipes such as flans, fruit tarts and tartlets! Makes 400g!

Ingredients:

  • 125g Butter
  • Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 200g Soft flour
  • 50g Sugar
  • Instructions:

  • Cube up the butter into small pieces!
  • Sieve the flour and salt into a large bowl, and then rub in the butter to achieve a sandy texture!
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and eggs until the sugar is dissolved!
  • Make a well in the centre of the flour and add the sugar and beaten egg mix!
  • Gradually incorporate all of the flour mix into the egg and sugar mix and lightly mix until it makes a smooth paste! Cover and pop it in the fridge to rest before it's use! Enjoy!
